How do I get started with the API?

Sign up to receive your API key, then check out our API Docs for integration code examples. Our BASIC tier is free and gets you started immediately.

I lost my API key. How do I get a new one?

Use the API key reset endpoint to generate a new key. You'll receive it via email. Your old key will be immediately invalidated for security.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes! Contact us at engage@scientifics.io and we'll help you change your subscription tier. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the next billing cycle.

Do you offer enterprise or custom plans?

Absolutely. We work with organizations that need higher rate limits, dedicated support, custom SLAs, or specialized data processing. Email contact@scientifics.io to discuss your needs.

How often is the FBI Wanted API data updated?

We refresh data daily from FBI sources. Updates typically occur overnight. Historical data and change tracking are available in PREMIUM tier and above.

Can I use this data for background checks?

Our API can be part of a background screening process, but should not be the only source. Always verify information through official channels. We're not FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency.

I'm getting rate limit errors. What should I do?

Rate limits are based on your subscription tier. Consider implementing caching in your application to reduce API calls. Need higher limits? Contact support to discuss upgrading or custom rate limits.

Can I resell your API or data?

Reselling requires an authorized reseller agreement. Contact contact@scientifics.io to discuss partnership opportunities.
